Collaborative Drupal song
After reading Dries’ post about music, I was inspired and I wanted to do something with this. And I don’t want to go out to record people, I wanted people to record themselves. But I asked myself, “who should I ask?” And I came up with an answer - Drupal! Then of course, the next question, what song? The Drupal song of course!
So please take a minute to review the instructions and please participate to make this absolutely awesome!
- Download the Drupal song sheet music: PDF PNG [UPDATE: Wikifonia]
- Record yourself playing the Drupal song (audio or video). You can play it on any instrument in any range, playing the melody or accompaniment (percussion is great too). Just make sure you’re playing it at 88 BPM and you’re in the right key.
- Upload it to a audio or video sharing site, or post it to your own server. Since the original version and my version are licensed under the GNU GPL v2, yours will have to be too (I know that GPL isn’t the best for media, but you can argue with @jjeff about that because he’s the one who licensed it originally).
- Post a link in the comments in the comments of this post.
Please post them until May 27th, at which point I’ll still be accepting posts, but no guarantees they’ll get in. As soon as possible after that date, I’ll try to choose a few (or a lot, who knows?) and stitch them together. You can also feel free to make your own out of any of these you choose.
Let’s get started!
[Update: I forgot to link to the original Drupal song]
